The Role of the Questions in Mark's Gospel

The number and recurrence of questions in the Gospel of Mark draw the reader’s attention. Through a narratological analysis, this study examines the role that questions posed in the dialogues, both by Jesus and by his interlocutors, play in the Markan narrative. In doing so, it highlights the importance of questions as a constitutive element of the Gospel and of its literary structure.
